For someone special - Pink Roses Ombre Cake

I make this cake for one of my work colleague - Debbie
This is a 8'' vanilla cake decorated with rose flavour swiss meringue buttercream.
The only buttercream that will slide away from your tongue and melt in your mouth :)
I wanna say thank you to Janique that coach me along in making this fantastic swiss meringue buttercream ^^
Pink ombre roses piping from bright to light tone make this cake look very beautiful.
I am happy with the outcome and I do hope she will love this cake :)

7'' square cake with pink baby booties :)

First covering a square cake, decorated with handcrafted pink booties.
I know I can make a better pair of booties next time, well nice attempt!
Little baby footprints on the side of the name.
This is a very simple design.
Covering a square cake can be very tricky compare to round cake, thank you to Janique that shows me the trick in doing this beautiful cake :)

Baked Avocado Prolly Cheesecake with ganache and pistachio nuts

I always wanted to make avocado cheesecake, but lots of idea in my mind and this time I decided to make baked avocado cheesecake with avocado slices inside.
Then a thin layer of ganache on the top plus crushed pistachio nuts on the top.
This is the 1st attempt and I hope everything is good!

My friends Erjan is actually the one that give me this idea, and the cake actually turn out great!
Avocado prolly is a drink with blended avocado with nuts and chocolate.
This cheesecake is much more creamy because of the avocado and you can see the avocado slices when I cut the cake.
Rich of avocado flavour, Australia avocado is very versatile and used in lots of dishes because the taste is not bitter and it is very good for kids and baby.
Australia selling avocado everywhere and you can get it very easily in fruit store or supermarket :)

For this cake, the ganache and the nuts actually give the cake more taste other than avocado and all of them make good combination.

One of my friend Samuel tasted it and he really likes it ^^

GreenTea Delight ^^

Specially made this for one of my work colleague - Erjan
I dont really do much greentea cakes as I am really not a fan of greentea.
I do like greentea but not as much as others do:)

This cake has 3 layers of greentea sponge with chocolate ganache and red bean sandwiched in between of each layer,
covered with greentea cream then decorated with fresh cream,
bits of greentea powder dusted and chocolate buttons :)
I hope he will like the taste of the cake, enjoy Erjan!

2 tiers cake for parents 33rd anniversary, pink flowers theme with handcrafted figurines :)

Congratulation to bobby's parent for their 33rd anniversary, how sweet :)
This is my first 2 tiers cake, such a great challenge ^^

This is made of chocolate mudcake with 8'' base and 7'' top.

Phew luckily the cake come out great and within my expectation :)

2 butterflies are added when I touch up the cake :)

The hardest part in making this cake is to deliver the cake, I am so worry that the flowers gonna fall off and the figurines are gonna shake.

Glue them 2 days before, so everything is firm and stable ^^


I also did extra cookies for them as a little gift :)

Hope they will love the cake.

Captain "E" Helmet Cake and Cookies for Ethan's 5th Big Day

My first time making such a great challenge - a semi sphere cake (half cut egg shape)
Actually I am working 5 days in a week now, so barely can squeeze any time to make orders especially fondant cake.
But I still try my best to reach my customer's needs, I know I will be able to learn a lot too from here hehe

Elaine specially design this cake and ask me to make it for his son's 5th birthday.
A very simple design but will show lots of mistake if procedure is not done correctly.
10'' chocolate mud cake with ganache filling and thin layer of fondant.

Well, the hardest part of making this cake is when covering the cake with fondant because of the round surface makes it to have lots of wrinkle and imperfection.
So I have to cover the ugly part with some decoration and ribbon keke

An additional exception that I also make him 25 pieces of cookies, my first batch of fondant cookies actually :p
I am pretty happy with the results actually. What do you think?
I think the next cookies order will be much much better :)

Guess what this cake is so heavy like around 3-4 Kilo due to the weight of mudcake, ganache and fondant.
Good thing is they all like my cake and cookies,  I think this order is worth of my time making it  along with another 2 cake orders this week :p

Prawn Onigiri & Pork Floss and Avocado Onigri

Another day off, I feel like I hasn't been cooking for a while hehee
Probably tired of working as well as long hours :(
I am making this onigiri for tomorrow lunch at work, simple to make and healthy meal yet satisfied my tummy :)

This time I put the prawn outside of the onigiri and another prawn in the middle :)
The other one is with avocado and pork floss stuffed inside.

Not much fancy and detail garnishes but I hope he will like it :)

Pandan Layer Cake with better recipe and look :)

My second attempt on this cake with adjusted recipe of my own.
The jelly turn out great, firm and nice texture to go with the pandan chiffon :)

My customer loves this cake and I am so happy when he says that he feels like he is home when he ate this cake!

Well,  an improvement to be made is to keep an eye when cooking the jelly so that no more lumps :p

Delia's Durian cake

It has been a while since last time I make a cake at home haha
Well I been busy working these few week, so have really got no time to make anything at home except for orders.
Delia is getting this durian cake for her husband birthday, I feel so happy that
she actually look for me after her strawberry mousse cake last time.

And again, I decorate the cake using rope borders on both top and the bottom then followed
byt star piping on the top middle.

Happy birthday writing is on the middle of the cake as well requested by her.

She told me that her husband like the cake very much which brighten my day :)

Soft and Q Pandan Pudding :)




It has been a while since last time I blogged, I am busy working and got no extra time :(
Finally I got a perfect pandan pudding that are specially requested by my customer,
I hope he likes the new version of my pandan pudding.
Maybe I should say he will find that this is what he is looking for hahahaha...

This adjusted version of my pudding is softer and not too dry, the texture is between jelly
and kuih so I think should taste very nice.
Amount of sweetness is perfect, I also love the shinny look when I just unmould it from the cake tin.
Taaa Da, unmoulded perfectly from the cake tin yay it looks shinny with no air bubbles ^^
I really feel like cutting through the pudding and see how's the texture ehehehe
The texture is set properly but not too firm which is what I am looking for all the time,
now I have finally made it :D
I can even hold the slice on my hand without breaking it but still taste Q and moist :)

Pork Floss Onigri


It is my day off today, hubby is off to work this morning.
I wake up quite early today, have a cup of coffee and I see some remaining sushi rice in the container.
Will be cooking tonight, so let's prepare some lunch to bring to work fro tomorrow!

I feel like making onigiri since it is very easy and I have got some pork floss to go with it ^^
This onigiri mould is just so useful, I bought this in Malaysia which is so much cheaper in price.
You can make two standard and even size onigiri at the same time with you favourite fillings or ingredients :)

The only thing you have to do is cook the rice, mix it with some sushi vinegar and get ready some pork floss.
I stuff the pork floss on the middle, then press the mould tightly and there you go, a nicely shaped onigiri ^^

I have also decorated with some seaweed, I am sure this will enhance hubby's appetite hahaha
Who doesn't like pretty stuff?

Butter Cake for Wayne + Tiramisu Mousse Cake with Biscuit base for Hudson

Everyone must have eaten butter cake before, nice and rich butter flavour cake is always the most suitable item for afternoon tea or simply a break snack.

I get this recipe from my mum which she learnt it from her sifu.
This is such a nice and tasty recipe yet simple to make.


Normally people order tiramisu cake, not tiramisu mousse because what I think is that
tiramisu only have very little sponge or sponge fingers that soaked in expresso and the rest is the creamy filling.
One my customer loves mousse cake and he wants everything in mousse form, so he requested this tiramisu mousse  cake with biscuit base :)

 I am having some time t give it a thought of how to make this as he doesn't want any sponge/sponge fingers in btw of the mousse.
So I did a layers of coffee mousse on the bottom, followed by the normal one on second layer then dusted with cocoa powder.
It does taste like tiramisu but without any sponge in btw at the same time, very nice and soft eating texture :)



I hope he will like this cake, although is its softer than normal mousse cake.
Hopefully the taste of the cake can satisfy him as well as his taste bud ^^
